A Starcraft MMO would have been cool though.

I don't know you.

But I want to injure you.

No offense intended, of course.

Woo, neat!

I'm a little underwhelmed. But so was everyone when the first SC1 screenshots and info came out.

I dunno if Blizzard will revamp it more before the end, but right now it basically is just Starcraft1 in 3D.

Ya, have to agree, the background textures are nothing to be impressed with. I like some of the new strategic elements they are introducing. Also I like that its not any of this 20 unit army crap that Warcraft 3 created. Having 200 units was what starcraft was all about. I'm hoping that cap has even been increased.

But I also wouldn't mind some completely new dynamic that really sets it apart from other RTS. However, even if its just starcraft 1.5 I'll still be really happy.

Yeah, the 1.5 thing is about what it feels like. But that's okay. Warcraft 2 was basically 1.5. It wasn't until 3 that it really brought on a new feel. I liked (and still like) the heroes aspect, and RPG elements.

I won't even try to think up what could change the RTS scene. I'm a game developer but it's definitely not my genre. I love playing them, but the level of complexity is much too far to just say "Oh! Add FEATURE" because I know how much balancing is needed.

Also it's clear from the stuff they've shown that really only the Protoss have gotten worked over, so far.

One thing that is interesting is they seem to have solved the Turtling issue. Or, at least, the choke-point turtling issue with multiple units that can change height.
