Since the [Blu-ray Disc] drive is basically ATAPI device, Linux can issue ATAPI commands by ioctl. Some of ATAPI commands have been rejected by the hypervisor call because of security issues.
Every other post about PS3 Linux mentions the phrase "media center." I'm not all that enthusiastic about a media center you have to reboot to play movies in.
PS3 has a powerful graphic processing unit with high speed host connection. The GPU is connected to both HDMI and AV multi interface. Although the GPU is connected directly to CBE, no direct access by guest OSes to the GPU is allowed currently.

Bluetooth mode is not supported by Linux.
So. I guess it's nice they got Linux pushed out on release day, but it's definitely missing enough stuff to make me think twice about it. Not that I wouldn't mind trying to write an XVideo driver for the Cell. Maybe when I can get one for $99 :P
