Quickie ogg->mp3 specifically for files that are named like 01_track_name.ogg and have limited tags. The ogginfo lines are stolen from this.

for i in ~music/neu/*.ogg; do
artist="`ogginfo $i | grep -i ARTIST= | cut -f2- -d=`"
title="`ogginfo $i | grep -i TITLE= | cut -f2- -d=`"
album="`ogginfo $i | grep -i ALBUM= | cut -f2- -d=`"
track="`basename $i|cut -c 1-2`"
fname="$track $title.mp3"
ogg123 -d raw -f - $i|lame -x -r -m s --preset standard - "$fname"
id3tag -a"$artist" -A"$album" -s"$title" -t"$track" "$fname"

I need a bunch of new mp3s for my car CD player, but I'd rather have oggs on my computer.

:D but it's great! Why use someone else's utility when you can just bang on the commandline for a while?

weird. fluffy's active in songfight, something casey and I both are into. completely independent internet communities.

though, to make everything circular, fluffy bought ZZT v1.0 or 2.0 or something back in `91 or `92 and began corresponding with Tim Sweeney, and got to beta test and later received Jill of the Jungle for free.
