Somehow, I managed to get an 80 on my Operating Systems exam. My projection on that was 65-70, but it was graded more leniently than I expected. Especially as I left an entire problem about Monitors (these would be the Mutual Exclusion kind of Monitors) blank. I was amused to find out that in our entire class, only one person tried to solve that problem.

I'm actually kinda considering nanowrimo in November. In past years, the idea of writing so much in one month was downright offensive to me. Now.. I have more free time, I feel like it would be good for me, I don't know. I also have no idea if my writing throughput is anywhere near enough. I haven't written a story since I was a little kid. We'll see. There is also a nethack tournament :P

Yes: 50,000 words in 30 days. To me, that is a lot of words.

How exactly does one get examed on OS'?

I'm sure you could retaliate and ask me how one takes an exam on coloring comic book covers, but I really do want to know! :P

Just like any other test, really. Examples: http://www.cs.umd.edu/class/fall2004/cmsc412/exams.html
