I unlocked level 4 on easy mode last night :D Oh man, I need more time to sink into this game. Now, to blast through these college assignments, like so many minibosses.

So, you all heard the first episode of the new Hitchhiker's Guide radio series this afternoon, right? I was thoroughly entertained. It's done very much in the style of the older series, same music, most of the same cast. The new narrator actually lives up to the old one, etc. If you missed it, I think they'll be up for download later on bbc.co.uk somewhere.

Out of curiosity, do you think that easy mode is actually easier? Maybe I'm just really used to my chaining patterns by now, but when I play easy I often find that I want to do an energy release but I can't because I was relying on enemy suicide bullets to build it up. That can really screw things up quickly for me.

I might have agreed with this, or at least seen your point... but you've seen level 4 on easy, compared to normal, right? Yaaagh!

I hadn't before, but I have now. :) It is nice that it lets you hang on the outside and avoid everything, but if you want to start chaining stuff all it does is save you from a few bullets coming from the outside.

This doesn't help you unlock chapter 4, either, it just makes chapter 4 easier once you get there. :) The differences in chapters 2 and 3 was pretty noticeable, though, especially in the main section of chapter 2, the up-down ships of chapter 3, and both bosses.
