Heh, "directed acyclic word graph (DAWG)".
My parents took me to a Japanese/Thai restaurant called Taikoku (I think) today (monday). Really great food, considering I'm not a huge fan of Japanese cuisine. I had Kobe beef for the first time, which was totally crazy. It comes out raw, and you heat it for a couple of seconds on this block of granite. And it's like the best meat ever. But it's so expensive. The whole menu was like a lesson on diminishing returns. You can spend a lot of money on a couple slices of meat, and get increased quality. But short of garnishing said meat with cocaine or something, you just can't get a linear relationship between price and quality out of it.
Can't segue from that to programming, so not trying. I think my coding skills are getting rusty. I was working on spacegame stuff today, and it was slow going. Maybe it's just that I've been using Java for everything lately, and spacegame is in C. If I ever finish this project, some of you will get a kick out of the source code. Early game engine stuff with cut-n-pasted code blocks and static arrays for everything, from pre-CS education. Transitioning to reusable style code, then obscure data structures and citing algorithms, from mid-CS education. I want to finish this project :/
