Latest book read: I think it might have been Time Enough for Love. I don't remember, because after I finished it, I started on a giant compilation of Arthur C. Clarke stories. Which I aborted halfway through when Quicksilver came in the mail, which I am currently more than halfway through.
Medications (Rx): I still have my Rx vicodin from when I had the cyst. I expect it's past its date now.
Nicknames: The Cap'n, but not since high school.
Operating System of Choice (for desktop): I have two desktops. Linux for work, and Windows for games and "file sharing". I'm not even mentioning edge machines, handhelds, cellphones, and toasters.

Role models, current: Hmm... now that I think about it, John Carmack. He made some of my favorite computer games (Commander Keen!), worked on the linux mga drivers back when matrox was cool, and builds rocket ships on the weekends.
