So, last night I decided my keyboard needed a good cleaning. (Do stories that start like this ever end well?) One brand-x resealable plastic bag later, and I had some nice and clean keys.

None of these keys caused a problem when I put them back on. The only one I /didn't/ clean, the space bar, did. When I put that back in, the spring bent in some horrible way, making the space bar inoperative. After much tweezing, I managed to remove the spring completely, but it's not going back on there. Right now, my space bar has no spring. A small touch will produce 1 space. That's not exactly what I'm using a buckling spring keyboard for :P Anyway, I think I'm going to order some springs off the internet that look like they're the right size, and see what I can do.

Your method of cleaning makes entirely too much sense.
