Should I make one of those entries everyone else is about going back to school? Well, maybe just a little. Tomorrow is move-in day, and I'm packing my stuff tonight. The next day is my mom's birthday, which I'd like to be home for. So, I'm doing it. My dad is helping me move tomorrow, and I'm going back with him. Since I have my own car, and my own parking pass, I can just drive myself back to school this weekend. It's like living in another dimension, but it's actually just another location.

Also, here is something I just noticed:

  • Freshman year: dual boot windows/linux machine
  • Sophomore year: 1 linux workstation, 1 windows gaming machine
  • Junior year: 1 linux workstation, 1 windows gaming box, 1 openbsd firewall/wireless gateway

It looks like I'm accumulating computers 1/year. But actually, I have loads of them at home, and those are just the ones I can't live without. When the only tool you have is a computer, everything looks like... a problem that can be solved with computers :P

Nail stuck in a wall? Use your computer to help form a level with a claw.

Wait, wait. You have three computers in your dorm room?

How could you possibly fit them in?
