Let's see..

I now have three complete NEC Versa 5080 laptops, and I almost have enough parts for another one. Though I did have this crazy idea; if I could scrounge 9 LCD screens (I'm already halfway there) and build a controller for them (or bother someone who actually knows what they're doing for help) I could make a pretty rad 3072x2304 40" screen thing.

Heather and Jill dropped by yesterday! I burned some VCDs and then they had to go wash their hair or something.

I can't get anything done outside of work. The only thing my dual athlon workstation does anymore is record the daily show and render LiveJournal. Do you see the irony in having to cut down on LiveJournal so I can finish writing my god damn LiveJournal conduit? I am going to play with that now.

Unfortunately I don't believe any modern AGP card supports such a resolution. The ATI's get close though...

The second problem is that DVI would not support such a resolution. It barely supports 1600x1200.

So you'd have to use analog output and scale to the resolution needed... messy. Also more expensive.

Yeah, I'm wondering about how to actually get video onto the screens. Four PCI and one AGP card with 2 VGA ports each could spit out nine 1024x768 screens, if there is a machine that wouldn't choke on that..
