I am writing this on my new machine, mostly built. Well, logged into it from work. Haven't tried the GUI at home yet.
The parts I was worried about mostly showed up. The reason it took so long was that they didn't have everything in inventory, so they ended up only shipping some of the stuff. I am currently missing one IDE drive and one SCSI controller.
Well, also one floppy drive, but I didn't think to order one, and I'll probably never use one.
So yeah. Quite fast.
Seems like nobody has figured out lm_sensors for this board yet. I found an example config for it on the lm_sensors page, but only one of the chips seems to have been detected, and it's not the one that looks at CPU temps.
Also, is there any reason to run "make -j3" rather than -j2? In compiling the kernel, j2 was twice the speed as j1. j3 was almost exactly the same as j2. Enh.
