Uuugh. One of my bttv cards has died. I don't understand it. I guess I somehow must have done something when I was working on the machine earlier today, but I didn't touch the pci cards... It went from: model: BT878(Hauppauge new (bt878)) [autodetected]To: model: BT878( *** UNKNOWN *** ) [autodetected]I think the dpl3518 was the first thing to go, because instead of sound, I got a series of clicks. Then the picture went. Now windows and linux don't assign the right drivers to it. This thing never worked quite right anyway (dpl3518 emitted high frequency noise when I wanted dolby surround in linux). I'm going to see if I can get it replaced under warranty. I mean, I bought it 2-3 months ago... *sigh* *sigh* |
