It was a pretty good time. That was the first convention kind of thing I've ever been to whose focus wasn't cheap computer stuff. In the same facility was the NBC 10 consumer expo, full of stuffy consumers with barely veiled contempt for those scruffy looking gamers. And it was just full of gamers.
The big draw for me was the huge collection of old arcade machines. Dig dug, Zaxxon, Pacman, Space Invaders, Missile Command, and a lot of games that were similar to Asteroids. They also had Pong and Berzerk, but they were broken. There was other retrogaming stuff there, but no Commodore 64 love, so meh.
