First, a quick diversion. Shiny thing:

Android watch
Android watch. I got this in the mail today, and my camera cannot capture how shiny and great the watch face is. Plus, it comes in a can.

Now, the result of a month's work.

kvance.com has finally reopened. I've archived every application, utility, and ZZT/MZX game that I care to archive on there. The music section is just a link to the cv_shrine right now. The whole thing is totally not spellchecked or maybe even read at all. But I am pretty sure it will work in your browser.

Whew.

Thanks!

I saw the first comment and thought "oh god, should I say thanks or is he talking about the watch?"

No, I haven't heard from bitman in a while or worked on KevEdit in a while longer. I think it reached that plateau where it basically works most of the time, and all the interesting work is done.

1. That watch is awesome; why is it an android watch? Where does one procure these?
2. The website is also pretty awesome. I like the design (is that YOUR fingerprint) and also I didn't realize how many damn dozes you were in.
3. Lizard First Aid!!!

1. It comes from Android-USA, but I bought it from some other weird online store that also sold guns and skulls. ...they had the lowest price!
2. The background is totally synthetic. It started as a gradation with every other line blacked out, and then warped a few times to make it tileable, and manually edited to make the tileing less obvious.
3. :D :D :D

Sweet watch, and cool site too. What are you using to syndicate your LJ to your site? I use MagpieRSS + the LJ RSS feed on my site, but it doesn't provide the number of comments on a post, last time I checked :/

You have a bunch of options here:
http://www.livejournal.com/developer/embedding.bml

And based on the fact that most of his pages are not PHP files and the LJ one is, I'm guessing he went with this method:
http://www.livejournal.com/developer/embedding.bml?method=php

casey got it right. I cut down the lj "simple" style, and the livejournal.php on my site just pulls down the formatted entries from livejournal.com. It wasn't too bad to work on this, because after I got the basics right on my livejournal style I could do most of the tweaking with CSS.

Ah.. I see. Well, I'm not a paying memeber, so I'll stick with my RSS solution for now :)

The website looks great. If I had things worth archiving, I would probably feel pressured into making something like that in anticipation of applying for internships next summer. But I need to write some software first!

Nice website, although you're linking to an extremely outdated version of PalmLJ/HandheLJ. :)

If you want I can send you my recompiled PRC that includes the nav patch I added on the SF site.
