I made my yearly update of my LJ bio once again. Man, do I ever ramble when I start talking about myself. This is probably a trait common to people who would use something like LiveJournal.

Huh. I think this is the first time I didn't feel the need to write about how much high school sucked, or how uncomfortable I felt about life actually being okay. One might even say that I've gotten over these psychological hangups. And I would agree :) Too bad it doesn't make for interesting reading. There was a time when random LJers would befriend this thing :P

Have I mentioned that I've been "educated" so much that I actually wish that I had written spacegame in an object-oriented language? 1999 kvance would hate me :P Anyway, now I have a little time to get back to modifying some deep internal structures of the game so that I can write AI files efficiently. Eventually, I'll be able to test that AI code I wrote so long ago.

Oh wow. I just looked up that link.. but I didn't think it would be NEARLY A YEAR OLD. Spacegame weeps.

I've always kinda wished KevEdit was object oriented too. But then I learned to appreciate the subtle coolnesses of well-written C.

Anyway, have you recieved my recent emails (kevedit-talk and kev@kvance)? The autoconf build system works for KevEdit now and I'd like to know what you think about it. I've already started migrating things into the src/ directory locally and would like to start commiting it.

The longer you take on Space Game, the more detail i am going to con you into putting into it. If you don't stop me, im going to take over.

Oh and I want to make the comic! *rabid* I think I'll go registure that with Keenspace...

Comic Title: Space Game

Description: Comic about characters in a game I am taking part in creating, named Space Game. Plot based, influences the game and is influenced by it. Space Game is about a young space ship captain, and what he has to do when terrorists steal cargo from his ship and threaten peace. As if that wasn't hard enough, his past reemerges to haunt him.

You can't change the name. You waited too long... kinda like what happend to Dave Mathews band :P

  1. If you want to make big changes, now is the time--their cost is basically nothing.
  2. I can change the name whenever I want. Better games than this have made up new names way later in development.
  3. Differences in programming philosophy. Object oriented programming is just bloat, and has no valid uses; using OpenGL as a shortcut rather than an optimization; etc.
