Hi. I'm an automobile owner now. Look what's in my driveway:

Prelude 3/4 view

Standing next to the car

1993 Honda Prelude VTEC. My dad is helping me learn how to use the stick shift. Practiced driving around the neighborhood, and I'm kinda getting the hang of it. Though I can't reliably start up going uphill :P

This is exciting :D

It still has a very nice paintjob. Hooray.

I ruined the paintjob on my Volvo. I didn't think you actually needed to keep cars clean. I thought they'd be okay as long as someone didn't actually rub their hands in it.

Remember to keep it clean. It looks like it's used to being waxed too.

Yeah, especially since it's living in the woods. At least when I go back to school, I can keep it in a garage.

And here I am, 19 and without a driver's license, or even a learner's permit, let alone a car.

There is no justice in this world.

I don't know about that. In South Carolina, all drivers have to be insured (even learners, apparently) and to insure me would add anywhere from about $900 to $1200 to my parents' insurance premiums. This is not something we can afford at the moment, so $DEITY knows when I'll actually get to drive. I think maybe I should get a bike or something.

Slick.

Now you just gotta get a chick to fill that empty seat.
Or a home-built car mp3 player.

Nice car! And I want to live where you live! I've got to buy a car at the beginning of next year, been thinking about getting a Honda.

Thanks! Hondas are definitely reliable. This machine does not look or feel like a ten year old car.

I live in southeastern Pennsylvania, in the woods :)

Heh! Way to notice the item that I paid 100 times less money for! They are New Balance 656 walking shoes. Not driving shoes, alas.

Woh, there's one flashy car! I like the wheel covers (is that how you call them?) a lot, too. =)

I find it funny how Americans get their own car before even having learned how to drive. ;P

mysteriously, they are called "hub caps" although I don't know that they are caps to any kind of "hub." Wheel covers would be a better name, really.

The hubcaps are actually normal Honda ones.

And that is funny. I actually learned to drive an automatic shift when I was 18. But nothing motivates you to learn like dumping all your money into the thing you have to learn.. hey, kind of like college! :D
