Read on slashdot that palm is dumping graffiti. How annoying. I especially like the slashdot comments that say "I used graffiti for ten minutes once and it was TEH HARD TO USE".

I used it for >4 YEARS and it's fast and extremely accurate! I took a whole lot of notes in high school on my palm pro, and later palm Vx, because we couldn't use laptops. I'd say it's something like 80% as fast as writing on paper. But unlike writing on paper, other humans and machines can read it :P

I expect that if palm ever convinces me to replace my Vx, there will be a 3rd party hack to do graffiti.

What are they going to replace it with?

I'm not really concerned with this; usually when I write on my Palm, it's with my portable keyboard. =)

I think it's the same thing that WinCE devices use. The characters aren't all unistroke.

Isn't Palm doing this new "jot" thing?

Yeah, that's the one. It's what all PocketPCs use, IIRC.

Re:

Is it different enough from Graffiti that there will still be a third party hack?
