Verdammt! ScummVM finally has support for the floppy version of Monkey Island. Except that it demands a code wheel! Heh, there is no way in hell that code wheel has survived :P Since the crack I have worked on the exe, I guess it should be possible to modify scummvm to disallow the codewheel also.

Ich finde es lustig, dass du das Wort "verdammt" benutzt hast.

Code Wheel?

I have my original Monkey Island stuff (in the Classic Adventures deal) so I probably have whatever copy protection they had. But I can't remember Monkey Island having copy protection... :/

There was no copy protection for the CD version, if that's what you have. The floppy version had a wheel that mixed and matched pirates.

No, I have a floppy collection of Monkey Island, Loom, Zak McKracken (the reason I bought the collection), Maniac Mansion, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

I don't understand... it just wants it once, to verify or something?

I have one, for the original floppy version of Monkey Island.

The copy protection is in SCUMM, so it emulates that too. The original EXE crack messes with the interpreter, not the actual game data.
