More shopping. Bought a small telephone, a digital watch, an hp photosmart 1000 printer, and a small refridgerator. The printer was broken right out of the box. I put the print cartridges in, loaded a sheet of paper for the calibration page, then a cacophony of noise and the print head was stuck. Some bit that's supposed to stick out (or stay in?) is sticking out along the rollers, getting the print head stuck. Back to compusa it goes.

I'm afraid to test the fridge at this point. (At least it's not fom compusa)

Heh, we almost bought our new router from CompUsa.

We ended up buying it from Best Buy. Heh.

heheh. CompUSA. When I was going around to price check some stuff, I think they wanted like, $35 for a 14' Cat5 cable, and a similar price for a dual-device 24" IDE cable. Bleh.

Was it one of those Epson's with the super-high DPI? I had the SAME exact problem, had to swap it.

There's some clip mechanism, that's pulled down by a solenoid, and comes back into place via a spring. Only it never pulled down, and kept catching the cariage.

It's an HP, but that sounds like the same problem. The new one works at least.
